A Soldier's Funeral

U.S. Army National Guard Spc. Eric Ulysses Ramirez was remembered during a funeral service Saturday, Feb 21, 2004, at La Primera Iglesia Bautista in Mascotte, Fla. The church pastor is his father, Feliciano Felix Ramirez.

Following the service, Spc. Eric Ramirez was interred at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.

Spc. Eric Ramirez died Feb. 12 of multiple injuries sustained when his unit, the 30th Military Police Company, Det. 649, based in National City, Calif., was ambushed in in Iraq. Ramirez, 31, had only 42 days left on his tour of duty in Iraq when he was killed. He is survived by his wife, Tracy, his son, Chase, and his daughter, Isis; survivors also include his parents, a sister and a brother.
